Building a Dream While Raising a Family: Our Indoor Playground Journey (So Far)
We’ve officially hit a major milestone—our permits have been approved and demolition is complete! The signage is up and glowing, walls are painted, our wallpaper is up (cue the happy tears!), and flooring is currently underway. It’s really happening.
We’re building Maeve & Rayne, one late night, one paintbrush, and one family effort at a time.
The Reality Behind the Dream
If you’ve been following along on Instagram @maeveandrayne, you’ve probably seen some of our behind-the-scenes moments. We’re pulling long days and longer nights. Some evenings we’re at the space until the girls’ bedtime has come and gone. We get home late, shuffle through dinner and pajamas, and fall into bed completely exhausted.
But still—we’d do it all again tomorrow.
This is more than a business to us. It’s the dream of creating something beautiful with our family, for other families.
Family Built This
Our girls have been right there with us—helping (in their own cute, chaotic way), watching walls come down and dreams go up. They’re learning what hard work looks like. They’re seeing us pour heart and hustle into something bigger than ourselves.
We’ve had family helping us with every step—from scraping, lifting, hauling, to taking care of our girls when we needed a moment to breathe. This is what building a dream looks like: teamwork, dust, love, and a few fast food dinners when no one had time to cook.
It’s Messy, But It’s Worth It
There’s been a disruption in our usual flow. Bedtimes have been later. Routines tossed out the window some days. But we’re making memories in the mess. And honestly, it feels like we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.
This indoor playground isn’t just a space—it’s a reflection of everything we believe in: joy, community, imagination, and support for parents who are doing their best.
Come Along for the Ride
If you’re curious about our progress, we’d love to have you follow along on Instagram at @maeveandrayne. We’ve been sharing the real stuff—the wins, the paint splatters, and the moments that remind us why we’re doing this in the first place.
We’re getting close. And we’re so excited to welcome you and your little ones into a space built with love and intention.
Thank you so much for cheering us on. We’re almost there.
♥️ Playfully yours, your mom-friend in fun, Lynne
